February Wrap Up and Accolades

A fantastic and fun Dine Out night ever was had at Giuseppe’s and Ben & Jerry’s on February 11th. Pizza and ice cream – an all-star combo! A huge round of applause to Beth Wisneski and the rest of the Dine Out team – and major thanks to all the parents and kids who turned out!

All the snow postponed our advocacy efforts until March – so you still have time to get on the bus! See the March happenings below for further details.

Valentine’s Parties may have been postponed, but no amount of snow could stop our teachers and students from sharing the love with cards and candy! XOXOXO

Another extraordinary Multi-Cultural Night is complete, thanks to the amazing efforts of Tida Violante, Deborah Cohen, Dereje Tessema and Zhen Tao! Our deepest gratitude to this hard-working team for organizing this very special biannual event! And let’s not forget all the fantastic families who came out to visit and share their cultures with us.

Last night, a wintry, wonderful time was had by one and all at our first ever Beall Skate Night! Thanks so much to Dragon Man Rob Gibbs for heading up this freezy fun event!

Meet Members of the Board of Education!

Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 06:30 PM
Richard Montgomery High School, Cafeteria

Every FOUR years the Richard Montgomery (RM) Cluster hosts the Board of Education (BOE) at one of our schools in order to get to know the BOE members and for them to get to know our local issues and our community. This event, on the evening of Thursday, March 20, 2014, is open to the general public and is hosted by the PTAs/PTSAs of all the schools in the RM Cluster (RM High School, Julius West Middle School, Beall, College Gardens, Richie Park & Twinbrook ESs) with lots of help from the administration of these schools.

In order to keep this event casual and on the light side, our theme is "RM [March] Madness". You get to wear spirit gear or colors of your children's school's/your college/favorite college basketball team!

We will begin with a reception, entertainment by RM students, table top presentations of each school and slide shows from 6:30-7:00 pm. From 7ish to 9 pm is an informal speeding dating format where the Board Members will move to different tables at 10 minute intervals. You can ask any questions you want!

Thank you to Dawson's Market for helping us with the hor d'oeuvres.

Please RSVP here. Everyone is welcomed. If you need an interpreter, please let us know.

Want to save a few bucks? Order your tickets in advance through Mr. Healy! The flyer went home in backpack mail, but you can download another one here if you need it.
