Knowing what information about sexuality is truly age appropriate for elementary school kids is crucial for parents who want to become their children's first and most important sexuality educators. Join us for a discussion around those topics and other important guidance about raising sexually healthy children.
Our speaker, Deborah M. Roffman, is a nationally certified Sexuality and Family Life Educator who has worked at the cutting edge of her field for three decades. Ms. Roffman has provided training and consultation regarding curriculum, faculty development, and parent education to scores of public and private schools since 1975. She has presented hundreds of workshops for parents and teachers and frequently makes presentations at schools and conferences throughout the United States and abroad. In January, 2001, she was guest editor of a themed issue of Independent School Magazine, on "Sexuality Education: New Thinking." Ms. Roffman is also the author of several books regarding this topic.
