Welcome to December, Dragon Families! I know that time is flying by this school year, but please take a few minutes to read up on some highlights of what’s been going on at Beall, and what's to come in December.

November Wrap Up and Accolades

November 5th brought out lots of folks for our PTA Meeting! Thanks to all who attended. The next one is this Wednesday, December 3rd - be there or be square.

A fantastic and fun Dine Out night was had at California Tortilla and Ben & Jerry's on November 6th. A huge round of applause to Beth Wisneski, Amy Yergey and the rest of the Dine Out team organizers- and major thanks to all the parents and kids who turned out!

Another good turnout was had for Tea with Mr. Alter on November 10th, as parents came in to chat with everyone's favorite principal. :)

An amazing Scholastic Book Fair was held from November 10 through 12th, thanks to our wonderful Book Fair Coordinator, Amy Bulson, and her band of happy helpers. A favorite event amongst students, staff and parents alike!

Another fantastic Dragon Disco on November 21st, led by Beall's own Fourth Grade team of Carolina DeVriendt, Esta Franklin, Kristen Lewis, Norma Villavicencio and Dion Young! MC Angel and his Party People rocked the gym yet again, and the accompanying auction was an outstanding array of fun adventures to be had with Beall teachers!

The Beall PTA Membership is already 313 members strong and growing! Not a member yet? WHY NOT???!! Join online now at or contact Patricia Ortiz at [email protected]. Beall staff who are members of the PTA are allowed to submit up to $100/per school year for classroom supplies reimbursement.

Staff wish lists are online here. Don't forget your favorite teachers while you are out holiday shopping!

Do you have lots of outgrown clothes taking up space in the kids closets? The Health Room will put them to good use! Boys pants, shirts and underwear are in especially high demand, but girls clothes are also appreciated. Also, the Health Room can always use lots of plastic shopping bags - reduce, reuse, recycle!!

Cathy Lease welcomes parent feedback about after-school activities - please let her know what classes your children have particularly enjoyed, or if you have encountered any issues, etc. Comments can be sent to [email protected].

Painless Fundraising
 – If you have not signed up your SafewayGiantHarris Teeter grocery club cards or your Target RedCard for Beall yet, please take the time to do so. It's free money for the school, and definitely worth a few minutes of your time. Everything you need is posted right here:
