November Wrap Up and Accolades

The winners of October’s Lunch & Recess Volunteer Contest are Jason Mandler and Earllaine Croakin! A huge round of thanks – and congratulations!

Another fantastic Scholastic Book Fair is complete, thanks to the tireless efforts of Amy Bulson! Our deepest gratitude to Amy for all of her hard work organizing this student favorite!

The Beall PTA Membership is now 318 members strong and growing! Not a member yet? Join online now at or contacting Zhen Tao at [email protected] Beall staff who are members of the PTA are allowed to submit up to $100/per school year for classroom supplies reimbursement!

Thank you so much to everyone who showed up in support of Beall, the Richard Montgomery Cluster and RMES #5 at the Board of Education meeting! Our school community is facing some very large challenges, and parent participation and attendance is critical to helping facilitate important changes like the new elementary school (aka RMES #5) and the Julius West addition.

The second annual Mixed Bag fundraiser was a huge success, thanks to the efforts of the great Kate Chai-Onn! Don’t forget, you can still go to, use ID #103513 and place your order online between now and December 31st - and Beall will still get 40%!

The much-anticipated Spirit Wear orders have arrived – our heartfelt thanks goes out to Sam Elowitch and Paula Quinones Tully!

Beall parent Ekaterina Kravtsova has graciously agreed to become our newest PTA translator!  Kate translates Russian, Zhen Tao Chinese, and Nicole Santiago Spanish.

Another student favorite, the annual Dragon Disco was a great success! A big shout out to Mrs. Carolina DeVriendt and MC Angel for all their efforts in making this event as awesome as ever!

Painless Fundraising – check out how much your Club Card registrations have already helped our school!

Staff Wish Lists

As you start your holiday shopping, you won’t want to forget to pick up some extra supplies for your favorite hard working Beall teachers. But if you are anything like me, you’ll have forgotten what your teacher had on his/her wish-list by the time you get home. Well never fear, teacher wish-lists are now online here:!

Please consider scrolling through the whole list, not just your child’s teacher. And don’t forget to reduce, reuse and recycle! Some of those great books, games and puzzles your child has grown out of would probably be put to great use in a younger classroom. Do you have extra PVC piping lying around taking up space in your basement? Maybe you could put together some Phonics Phones for our ESOL teachers.

Volunteer Opportunities

Beall is always happy to have Lunch and Recess volunteers! Come every day, or just drop in when you can, just don’t forget to sign in at the front office!

Many teachers are happy to have classroom assistance – please email your child’s teacher directly to find out more. Teacher emails are listed on the Beall ES website:
