Forum on Funding Our Schools

"We rely on education funding to ensure quality teachers in our
classrooms, healthy and safe buildings in which to learn, and the
resources necessary to support learning. The state law which helps
ensure the floor for per pupil funding, and imposes a penalty on
schools when counties fail to comply, could be changed this year.  We
ask you to come and hear first hand from our elected leaders,
including Maryland House Ways and Means Committee Chair Sheila Hixson,
Senate Delegation Chair Jamie Raskin, House Delegation Chair Brain
Feldman, and members of the Montgomery County Council and Montgomery
County Board of Education. We will get insight, information, and
answers about how changes could impact funding for our schools and our
children's education."

This forum is presented by the Montgomery County Council of PTAs and the NAACP
Parents’ Council. Click here for the flyer.
