October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month
Carnegie Mellon University's Information Networking Institute with funding from the National Science Foundation have built a Cyber Academy for 4th and 5th graders. http://www.carnegiecyberacademy.com/index.html
For rainy inside days, the Cyber Academy is a great game to visit and gain some new cyber skills.
"Welcome to the Carnegie Cyber Academy, the most prestigious cyber defense training facility in the world. My name is Commander Omni. I am the school's dean.
At the Academy, we train our cadets in online safety so that they can protect themselves and others from the attacks of malicious Cyber Villains. The Internet is a growing part of our daily lives. It is my hope that future generations will be able to continue exploring Cyberspace in a safe and secure way."
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Hello,
I am fairly new to Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), but was thinking of learning more about it and getting involved in 2013. I understand that traditional approach is to subscribe to a box of fresh vegetables that gets delivered every week during the growing season.
I did some reasearch online and found some California schools that partner with local farms. Fresh vegetables, support for local farms, and money for the PTA. This really sounds like a win-win-win situation.
This is our first year at Beall Elementary... Has anything like this been attempted already?
Thank You,
Alexey

Target Redcard School Donations
I think it would be great to have a reminder on the site that Target Redcard holders should select Beall ES as their school. I have made that selection long before my daughter started at Beall. It's a great way to effortlessly donate to the school.

Incoming Families
It think it would be great to have some kind of event for incoming kindergartners and their families this spring or summer. Plus we could recruit new PTA members that way!
Everyone please provide feedback on Dragon Disco, in particular ...
the relocated entrance and vendor space. Thanks
