It's hard to believe we are two months into school already!! Please take a few minutes to read up on some highlights of what’s been going on at Beall, and more details about what's to come in November!
October Wrap Up and Accolades
October 1st brought out lots of folks for our first PTA Meeting! Thanks to all who attended.
Kimberly Heifetz dedicated her October to making the Beall Innisbrook fundraiser an outstanding success, reaching our goal of $3500 for the Media Center! Thank you to Kimberly, and to everyone who participated to make this a fabulous fall fundraiser. Orders will be delivered to the classrooms in mid November. Internet orders directly on the Innisbrook website are still being accepted through the end of the school year.
A fantastic and fun Dine Out night was had at Five Guys and Marble Slab Creamery on October 9th. A huge round of applause to Beth Wisneski, Christy Koenig and the rest of the Dine Out team organizers - and major thanks to all the parents and kids who turned out! Thank so much to everyone for your patience waiting in both lines that night - it led to a great benefit for the PTA!! The event raised over $660!!
Movie Night was a big screen success on October 16th when Mr. Peabody and Sherman traveled WABAC! Thanks to the tireless effort of our Secretary extraordinaire, Susan Gorant for getting this fantastic event organized, and thanks to everyone who attended!
Dr. Joshua Starr held a press conference on October 28th right here at Beall, complete with several area news teams, where he made his proposal for $221 million in additional construction funding for Montgomery County schools!
The Halloween parade and parties went off yesterday without a hitch! Thanks to all of our fantastic parents who came out to celebrate, especially our Room Parent Coordinator Xi Zhou and all the room parents who planned and organized the classroom parties for our little dragons!
The Beall PTA Membership is already 304 members strong and growing! Not a member yet? WHY NOT???!! Beall staff who are members of the PTA are allowed to submit up to $100/per school year for classroom supplies reimbursement!

Also, Cathy Lease would like your feedback about after-school activities - please let her know what classes your children have particularly enjoyed, or if you have encountered any issues, etc. Comments can be sent to email@example.com.
Painless Fundraising – We need to give a HUGE shout out to the meticulous Karen Folkart for her supremely tedious yet awesome efforts at getting Beall folks registered at Giant, Safeway and Harris Teeter. Her efforts have brought in thousands of dollars for Beall. If you have not signed up yet - please take the time to do so. It's free money for the school, and worth a few minutes of your time. Beall PTA will conduct a contest and reward cash prizes to the classrooms that collect the most Box Tops and Labels for Education. The contest will end in early 2015, so start collecting now!

Beall is always happy to have Lunch and Recess volunteers! Come every day, or just drop in when you can - just don’t forget to sign in at the front office!

Also - FYI - the Cub Scouts from Pack 928 will be in the West End and New Mark Commons neighborhoods on November 1st (distributing bags) and November 8th (collecting food) for their Scouting for Food drive which benefits local food banks. Please consider donating to this worthy cause! Several of these cute little cubs are Beall boys.

The Scholastic Book Fair is an annual student favorite put on by the Beall PTA! Come visit after your teacher conferences, and stock up on holiday presents, donate to teacher classrooms. Credit cards accepted, checks can be made out to Beall PTA.
